Earth Day

Earth day....April 22nd. What do you have planned? Is it something big, something small, or have you thrown your hands up sayin, "What's the use?"

Don't dispair, there are billions of us us here on this planet and can you imagine what we could accomplish if each of us did just one small thing? I'm not talking about parades, or huge public works projects, I'm talking about small individual actions.

Here's some ideas....

. Join the National Arbor Society...It costs $15.00 and they will send you trees to plant.
. Pick a road side that needs cleaning. Have a bunch of your friends meet and clean the road.
. Dig a small hole (2' X 2' X 12 inches deep) in your back yard, put all your vegetable waste in the hole and cover each with a thin layer of dirt. When the hole is full make another. You are now composting....wait a year and plant some vegetables or flowers they will enjoy the compost and reward you.
. Recycle. Recycling is a business, they want your recycled items but most of us are throwing things in our recycling bins that foul up the recycling process. Call your recyclers and find out what they want and need....

The list could go on and on...you get the idea and you probably have a few ideas of your own. Share them with all of us. If the billions of us here on planet earth all do just one little thing for earth day...and everyother day there after we could have a big impact on our environment.

Happy Earth Day
Max
