I'm out of town so we had our family Thanksgiving dinner a couple of days early. Man did we generate some waste.....Christmas is just around the corner and if we do the same things we will generate a lot of waste. I'm not bragin', I'm disappointed. It seems that when the holidays come around we take a sabbatical from conservation, recycling, over eating....
Now don't get me wrong, love the holidays, I just wish I could have taken advantage of having family together to teach, learn and recommit as a family to treat our earth better.
Anyone out there have any ideas on how we can use our holidays to recommit to becoming "green?"

I think it's easy to start recycling at home. I've been doing it for over a year. It takes awhile to get the family on board, but being nazi about it helps.
ReplyDeleteI do; however, find it more difficult to recycle at work.
My goal for the upcoming year is to start a recycle bin in the office breakroom. I know it won't be easy because I've already mentioned it once and I got eyes rolled at me. (Less painful than a kick in the pants, but still annoying) I'm going to have to be the psycho "green" lady for awhile, but it's for a good cause...right? There is A LOT of waste coming from the workplace. Knowing our space in landfills is limited, we really need to be making changes....now.
